The Hipstography Awards 2016 – The Grand Prizes Awards

The names of all the nominees in the Major Prizes Awards are now known and 17 Awards will be given for one picture in each category. You do have a few days left to cast your votes in certain categories but the voting for other categories has already been closed. Anyway, you will have to wait until February 5th to find out who the winners are.

So, let’s move on to the Grand Prizes Awards! In this section, 10 Awards will be going to 5 portfolios and 5 combos. The Jury members have gone through dozens of series and have come up with a first selection. The chosen series were classified in 10 categories and we asked the jury members to give us their top 3 in each category: 3 points for their absolute favorite series, 2 points for their runner-up and 1 point for their third choice. The jury has been rather exacting this time around and we have ended up with only 5 or 6 series that scored the most points. You will notice, however, that every now and then, there are an additional few series; this occurred because there was only a minimal difference in the qualification points. On the other hand, a few series really stood out above the rest, with one of them earning an almost unanimous vote.

The voting for this section will start on Monday, January 23rd and you have four days to vote in each category. Your votes will be added to the juries and the 10 winners will walk away with an Award during the Grand Ceremony on February 5th. Bravo and good luck to all our nominees.
