5 Years Hipstography: Let’s celebrate!

On December 29th, 2017, Hipstography will be celebrating its 5th anniversary but we will already begin the festivities this week, because we want to show our appreciation for the most important elements of Hipstography’s success: You! We have said this many times, but we’d like to reiterate it; Hipstography wouldn’t be anywhere close to what it is today, without this incredible community of photography aficionados. So, a huge thanks for all your creative, artistic and stunning photos and series that you keep sending in.

We’ve decided to hook up with several groups and communities to rejoice in our shared passion; a passion for a simple little app that has left its mark on digital photography like no other. Until the end of the year several of these communities will be suggesting a number of challenges, competitions and other merriments and you, obviously, have the opportunity to join in on the fun. Here’s a list of the groups, as well as their ideas:

Hipsta365

Hipsta365 is a closed group on Facebook, managed by Lori Hillsberg and Stephen Littrell (if you’d like to join, just ask to be added):

For the anniversary celebration: Hipsta365 and Hipstography are asking you to take a step back into the past! We’ve chosen 5 lenses and 5 films (one from 2012, 2013, etc.) which results in 25 different possible combos:
Lenses: Florence, Jack London, Anne Marie, Tachman, Takashi
Films: BlacKeys XF, Gotland, Love 81, Bream, Abbot K20
Flashes may be used. The weeklong event starts on Friday, December 15.

Hipstamatic Holland

Hipstamatic Holland is a public Facebook group, managed by Erik Wennekes:

Hipstamatic Holland is organizing a contest over a period of 5 days (starting Friday, December 15th until Wednesday, December 20th), using 5 HipstaPaks that were released between 2012 and 2017. You can choose between the following Paks: #Tintype (Tinto 1884, C-Type Plate, D-Type Plate), #Hongdae (Yoona, Blanko 1), #Jordaan (Vincent, Rijks), #Brussels (Eric, Manneken), #Coleford (Beard, Bream) and #Bucktown (Scott, BlacKeys IR).
Feel free to use all 5 Paks or only the ones you like. Please do not change lens or film. Flashes are allowed.
Use the hashtags #Hipstography, #Hipstamatic_Holland, #5YearsHipstography and #name of the HipstaPak.

Hipstamatic Street Photography

Hipstamatic Street Photography is hooking up with Hipstography and inviting its community (2400 members!) to join in celebrating our 5th year by publishing 5 photos of celebrations of life, expressing joie de vivre, using their favourite combo for all five images.
