"A combo based squarely on Peale! Emilie’s contrast is sharpened with the addition of the Standard flash. While intensifying the highlights, Emilie does not affect the important details. I enjoy using this combo to give landscapes an other-worldly feel and for portraits, it gives a real intensity.
There is also occasional amazement such as, a lavender-coloured ocean; and while Emilie can really warm things up, it can also produce an all-over steely tone.
I fell hard for this combo when we had a few days of fog; projecting feelings of solitude and uncertainty, it helped me express visually what I’d been experiencing internally throughout the pandemic."
