"I went to Bulgaria this summer to photograph, among other things, a few monuments from the Communist era, such as Buzludzha, the old Communist Party headquarters. I wanted a combo with a vintage feel to it, but also something that had a certain texture that would give the pictures an “old” character. I had my eye on Love 81 from the minute it was released, particularly for the texture, but I wasn’t all that wild about the frame. It’s a bit too heavy to my liking, especially as I had counted on using my favorite lens, Madalena. Thanks to the new function that allows you to eliminate the frames, I found the combo I was looking for!
I opted for Cadet Blue Gel, like I always do with Madalena, as it softens the rather powerful effects of this lens that exaggerates the slightest shadow."
