"I recently moved to Chicago where my husband is from. The city itself is vibrant and exhibits many varied types of architecture, mainly because of the infamous Chicago Fire; architects from everywhere settled here, and I'm always dazzled by it.
There are a multitude of neighborhoods, with Little Village, the Mexican neighborhood, being where several of these images were shot. And, since these people are so festive, my combo can afford to tone down, or mute the colors and still look good. The Adler 9009 lens lends a nice overall softness, as well as slightly enhancing the blues and greens. Combined with Robusta film, which has a grungy, stain-like effect that increases the contrast that the Adler lens removes, especially around the edges."
