"In Mexico, the first few days of November are known all over the world as the famous "Day of the Dead"; and every year, I'm at the cemetery with my Hipstamatic. The first day is known as the "Day of the Innocents" or "Day of the Little Angel" (for deceased children), and the second day "Day of the Dead" (for adults). Colima is not the most famous city as far as this particular festival is concerns; the states of Michoacán or Oaxaca are better known but, nonetheless, people gather in the same way, bringing music, food and flowers to their dead. This year, I wanted to capture the images without the color, so I used John S and Uchitel 20, because I wanted to focus on the people only - their faces - walking and chatting, and carrying flowers, drinks, food and music to the graves of their departed loved ones. "
