"These photos were taken during a short break in Venice. I spent most of the time shooting on my DSLR, but as I wandered around the backstreets and alleys I saw numerous shots that would benefit from the Hipstamatic treatment. I would then tuck away the big camera and begin shooting with the iPhone instead, only realizing after half an hour or so that I was having far too much fun and would switch back to the DSLR.
When I posted this collection on Flickr, someone commented that they enjoyed them because they presented the interesting 'fragments' of the city, rather than the traditional tourist shots. I think this sums up what I was trying to do, and the Hipstamatic is just perfect for this kind of photography."
