"While out on a walk between Christmas and New Year, I took my friends to visit Montmartre and the Abesses, a Parisian neighborhood I’m very fond of. We didn’t stop off at the Place du Tetre, which is, unfortunately, very touristy. Despite the crowd, we decided to go into the Sacré Coeur Basilica. The light was beautiful on that December afternoon, so I suggested we go all the way to the top of the dome to admire the Parisian rooftops.
After having climbed up 300 steep stairs, we were greeted by this incredible view, far from the hustle and bustle of the city below. It’s not uncommon to find yourself all alone up there and that’s when, to my greatest joy, time stands still."
