"I took this picture as I was walking along the Champs Elysees, in Paris, on my way to the Seine. I didn’t know that, that day, it was the 'Fête des Jardins', so the most famous avenue in the world was completely closed off to vehicles and left entirely to the pedestrians! A wonderful opportunity, if ever there was one, and an excellent reason to dig out my iPhone.
I usually use the 'Shake to Randomize' function and based on the results, I’ll choose a combo that strikes me as interesting. I will then reshoot the picture, changing only the flash, until I end up with a result I like. In this case, Love 81 (although I have to admit I don’t really like the frame) and Gregory turned out to be the perfect combo for the vintage feel I was after, and adding Spiro Gel gave it that little festive touch… because, after all, this is Paris! ;-)"
