"Sidewalks of the city"
"Over the years I have used the John S lens in black and white combos but, this time, I took on the challenge of creating a colored one, which proved to be quite tricky, since I don’t like the extreme saturation this particular lens adds to the pictures... Shooting in the center of the city - bustling with noise and color to the point that it makes you dizzy - this choice seemed, after all, somewhat appropriate. Especially combined with the Cinemateque film with its blurry edges, John S makes you focus even more in the central point of interest, the way you do when the light is harsh and you squint your eyes. City streets have a lot of stories to tell, so walking around you learn to discover beauty in the mundane. You bump into people in a hurry, come across an excessive amount of graffiti walls, deal with motorcycles in large numbers, get lost in flea markets and so on.
Therefore, capturing scenes in a down town scroll is all about fuss, quick choices, spontaneous snaps, vivid colors and John S is certainly the perfect ally. Are you in for a city ride?"
