"For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by creepy crawlies. From catching bugs and butterflies to keeping them as 'pets' when I was a kid. The years have quickly passed by and times have changed but the kid that chased bugs many years ago is still here. Okay, I may not be keeping things in jars anymore but still chasing flies around fields even though I'm over 40! It's been a hard time for insects in the UK, we've had some bad summers over the past few years and I've seen the decline in certain insect numbers. Luckily it looks like this summer may help with their recovery.

The only difference is now I have the means and maturity to leave nature as it should be and take photos to calm the bug passion! I've been addicted to macro since I started photography but have recently changed to the iPhone for 100% of my photography. Camera phones are going to be around for a long time and will only get better and better for macro. It's a great time for gadget fans!"
