"This is the tenth time I am covering the Festival de Cannes for l’Agence France Presse (AFP). This means that I am continuously experimenting with new subjects, new angles etc. As I’ve been doing this for a number of years, I try to approach things differently with each consecutive edition, for example using the “Tilt and shift” function or using larger apertures to create different effects, so, I naturally veered towards Hipstamatic.
This time around I used the John S lens and the BlacKeys Supergrain film, which made the coverage of this Festival rather spectacular. I am so very lucky to be able to work with this prestigious agency, that is AFP! It really is a bit of a dream come true!"

"Don’t forget to validate (your tickets) is a photography series made over the course of one year, in the buses, metros, and trams of Marseille. I saw it as an exploration of our daily lives, allowing us to discover that the time we spend in public transportation can be one of the most beautiful windows onto the city, others and ourself."

"For years I felt drawn to India, but I was afraid. I thought it would be too hard, too painful, and I wasn’t sure I was up for that level of intensity and adventure. This all changed unexpectedly and I have never looked back. Never have I been more taken, felt more stimulated, and experienced so much color, sound and emotion. As wonderful as all of India is, my favorite part is the people. They smile, they appear happy, and they love to be photographed. I hope you enjoy these images and can get a sense of how beautiful and powerful India truly is."

"My wife and I were in Paris, for the Paris Photo salon. It was Friday night and we were having dinner with a few journalist friends, from AFP and RFI. About 21h30, we were warned that there was gunfire – no further details were offered – and we left the restaurant within the next 5 minutes. On our way back to the hotel, we came across dozens of fire engines, with their sirens wailing, but we were still not aware of the gravity of the situation. When we got back to the hotel, I switched on the TV and the gunfire had changed to attacks… The next morning, my photojournalist’s instinct drove me outdoors; I needed to see the various sites. I arrived early, so many of the victims’ personal effects were still lying there, strewn about on the blood soaked sidewalks. The people at the scene looked worn-out and there was an eerie silence. Here and there, you could see that people were starting to bring flowers and light candles. I took pictures alongside my fellow journalists who had been working all night. The Bataclan site was completely closed off, so I wandered along the perimeters. Around noon, I came across this scene of a bike pulling a piano along. I managed to quickly take 3 pictures before leaving these emotionally draining places. I posted this picture on social media and it immediately got 40.000 likes on Facebook, and 5000 tweets on my Twitter account. I’d like to leave the un-cropped original here: the pianist was about to play "Imagine" by John Lennon, in front of the Bataclan. After that horrible day, I went to several "symbolic" sites, like the Eiffel Tower, in order to create some distance from this horrific tragedy, but mainly, to defy fear."

"A dam project on an area of wetlands in the forest of Sivens, in the French department of Tarn, has given rise to fierce opposition and many opponents have started to occupy the site. The creation of the ZAD (Zone a Defendre – loosely translatable as "Zone to be Defended") was thrown into the spotlights, after a grenade killed Remi Fraisse, a 21-year old botanical student, during scuffles with the local gendarmerie on the night of October 26th, 2014. Eco warriors, clowns, climbers, builders and combatants, those termed "Green Jihadists", have been coming and going for months to encumber the proposed work and all of them proudly call themselves “Zadists”, revolutionaries of a completely new genre."
