Hipstography is going on holiday… again!

By on August 16, 2015

Before the now long awaited 300 version of Hipstamatic is released, Hipstography is going on another little holiday, because the next couple weeks, or even months, will be hectic to say the least.

I know it has been announced for ages now, and without pouring oil on the fire, I really do think it’s imminent! A new beta version was released this weekend and compared to the previous version there are few changes. It’s a clear sign that things are stabilizing and that most bugs have been fixed. I’m under the impression that this will be the last beta version and that September will see the actual release. That said, Apple still has to approve it and that could obviously lead to a few more delays. A little more patience is required, but I’ll repeat it again: this new version is a gem!

Hipstography is ready for it and we’ve concocted a nice little collection of tutorials to help you see the wood from the trees! This new app is, after all, quite a bit more intricate than the previous version and I’d like to reassure all the avid Classic fans: this does not mean that you cannot use Classic as you were always used to, but it would be a shame not to incorporate all the fabulous new features.

So… there will be no publications on the site for the next week, but this is a great opportunity to delve into the archives. If you missed the article that was published in July, you can catch up here.

AND! In a little over 4 months, The Hipstography Awards 2015 will be recognizing the best photo series of the past year. In order to avoid a rush like the previous years, why not dig into your photo library and send us your combos and/or portfolios? If you missed last year’s ceremony, you can still check it out right here!

The simplest way to submit a series of pictures is to publish them (roughly 20 per combo and about 30 per portfolio) on whatever page you chose: it could be an album on Facebook or Flickr, or on your personal website or pages. You can then send us the link via the Hipstography contact page.

There we go… as far as I’m concerned, I’m off to go and play with Hipstamatic myself, for an entire week! Despite it being a true pleasure and honor to be able to publish all these wonderful pictures on a daily basis, I am above all a huge fan of this amazing little app that has the power to unite millions of users worldwide. This fan, however, also needs to go hit that big yellow button!
