"I discovered Hipstamatic at the end of 2010 when I saw a photographer friend’s images of the Pyramids at Giza. I knew I had found a medium to convey the emotion in a shot versus just the what I saw in the viewfinder. The nostalgic component of Hipstamatic further illustrates how the present is really indistinguishable from the past and perceptions of truth are quite relative. I want my work to convince the viewer that imagination is often reality and that the joy in the image is sometimes greater than the moment the image was captured. Hipstamatic lets me share how I feel about the place I am in life, or in the world, more quickly than with my words, and often more poignantly. I am a storyteller first and foremost and the Hipstamatic app helps me do my job."
