"This grainy, dirty combo is excellent for taking pictures on the streets. It mixes the wonderful "vignette" effects of the John S lens with the grain and vintage look of the US1776 film. I documented my city's life for a whole month only using this combo, taking candid portraits and cityscapes. It's not as easy to use as other combos, it has a moderate learning curve to it but I think that's a wonderful thing because it makes you experiment a lot with it to master it. On sunny days you can easily get blown-out highlights, so you have to be careful with how you use it. I wasted tons of good pictures before I learnt how to take pictures with this particular combo. Despite that, I think the results are rewarding, it has much more personality than most of the other monochrome/black and white combos and it gives a special vintage/urban edge to your pictures."
