"The Kea Parrot lives in the temperate rainforest of New Zealand's South Island. On our way back to Te Aneu, after sailing on Milford Sound, we saw several Kea waiting along the side of the road, where vehicles were forced to stop because an earlier landslide had limited the road to one lane. This bird landed on the car because the woman had put out her hand to give it pieces of mushroom. I was able to get very close for this shot. For this trip I have been shooting with Stavros/Aristotle/Triple Crown, for its stark contrast and, also, it works well in any light."
