"One of my favorite stretches of San Francisco is Stockton Street in Chinatown. Stockton Street is jam-packed with markets and shops that sell everything to meet the daily needs of the large Chinese population of SF. Because it is such an amazing place. Other cultures, also, visit Stockton Street. It is an incredibly busy and visual part of the city. On the day that I made this image, the afternoon sky was like a giant soft box. Like all my visits, I walk down the street and photograph people that I find compelling. This beautiful young family met that criteria to a tee."
